There are many ways to support Teacher Resource Center of the North Bay. Whether you help us to recycle wine foil capsules, volunteer your time, or help spread the word, your involvement helps us provide free classroom supplies to local teachers and students.
Tin Foil Recycling Program
How the program works
TRCNB’s foil capsule recycling program supports Napa County students while helping reduce waste. Funds raised through recycling are used to purchase school supplies for our warehouse and help cover essential operating expenses such as rent, insurance, and office costs.
Our winery and tasting room partners collect foil capsules that would otherwise end up in the landfill. TRCNB volunteers then pick up, sort, and remove non-recyclable materials before storing the foil until there is enough volume to transport it to a recycling facility.
Why it matters
This program turns an everyday waste product into direct support for teachers and classrooms. It is a practical way for local businesses and community members to contribute to education and environmental stewardship at the same time.

Volunteer opportunities
TRCNB volunteers are at the heart of our work. From organizing supplies to supporting teachers and helping with fundraising projects, volunteers make it possible for us to serve classrooms across the North Bay.
Volunteer roles may include:
Sorting, counting, and stocking school supplies.
Assisting teachers during shopping events.
Transporting donations or supplies.
Supporting fundraising projects, including the Tin Foil Recycling Program and Napa Valley Give!Guide.
Helping with administrative tasks, website support, or communications.
